Live Demos for Senator Oroho and the Agencia D+I+i

Live demonstration of AM digital twin for Argentina's Agencia D+I+i.

A special brace of tours took place this past Thursday with a visit by Argentina’s National Agency for Research, Development & Innovation (Agencia D+I+i) followed by a visit by NJ Senator Steven Oroho.
The Agencia D+I+i, with Director Fernando Peirano, Consul General Santiago Villalba, Deputy Consul Generals Alejandro Nervegna and Rodrigo Miranda, and Adjunct Consul Martín Pose, were welcomed to NJAMI in the morning by Dr. Guo. The tour was initiated in NJAMI’s Pilot 5G Factory with live demos of the two AI manufacturing testbeds (5G Robotic Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing Digital Twin) and followed by the introduction of NJAMI’s Academia-Industry Partnership.

Dry-run demonstration of 5G Robotic testbed for Senator Oroho.

Senator Oroho was also welcomed to the Pilot Factory in the afternoon. Senator Oroho, along with Senator Linda Greenstein, sponsored the "Manufacturing in Higher Education Act", which requires various State entities to promote manufacturing career pathways for students and provides assistance to the manufacturing industry. One of NJAMI’s primary mission is to continuously train the next generation of manufacturing workforce, and as such it was an honor to show Senator Oroho how the state’s efforts are being put into effect at Rutgers.
