NJAMI Tours Are a Hit for Current and Prospective Students

First-year students and high-school students applying to universities have the unique opportunity to learn about the cutting-edge manufacturing research projects at NJAMI during Fall/Spring semester campus visits. NJAMI has been providing tours of the Pilot 5G manufacturing facility as part of recruiting efforts for the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department. These tours have contributed to the department being the home for an estimated 31% of the declared undergraduates in the School of Engineering (SoE). SoE also has a record incoming first-year class of more than 1,200 students this year. Current first-year students can potentially visit NJAMI again as part of the brand new ID3EA program, which is a unique 2-semester introductory course that gives students insight into all 10 undergraduate SOE majors through design, analysis and application.

Prospective students are given a tour of the 5G manufacturing facility and research testbeds at NJAMI.
