NSIN and DEVCOM AC visit NJAMI to Launch Senior Design Projects
This semester Rutgers MAE begins to collaborate with the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) and DEVCOM AC Energetics Group on senior design capstone projects. As part of the kickoff meeting between MAE faculty and guests Shane Esola (DEVCOM AC) and Spencer Reynolds (NSIN), a tour of NJAMI’s research facility was given. Working with academia to evaluate innovative ideas gives more opportunity for new technology to pass through Death Valley and become successful in practice. NJAMI’s 5G pilot factory is especially suited for putting Smart Manufacturing (a.k.a. Industry 4.0) technologies into practice by focusing on data generation, transmission, and processing to optimize manufacturing operations.
MAE Chair Prof. Pelegri showcases the material testing facility at NJAMI.
