Yuebin Guo Receives 2022 SME Sargent Progress Award

Dr. Yuebin Guo, Henry Rutgers Professor of Advanced Manufacturing, has been recognized by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Albert M. Sargent Progress Award for his seminal contributions to the development, understanding, and control of process−surface integrity−functionality relationships in a broad range of manufacturing processes and data-enabled adaptive manufacturing systems. The Albert M. Sargent Progress Award is the SME International Honor Award and recognizes significant accomplishments in the field of manufacturing processes, methods, or systems. The SME Albert M. Seven leaders in industry and academia were recently recognized by SME with its 2022 International Honor Awards. On Sunday, May 15, 2022, SME proudly recognized its 2022 International Honor Award winners as part of its annual International Awards Gala at Detroit, Michigan. This year, seven leaders, from industry and academia, were recognized for their contributions in the areas of manufacturing technologies, processes, technical writing, education, research and management, and service to SME.
