IIT Madras Delegation Visits NJAMI
On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Rutgers University welcomed distinguished guests from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) for a day of dialogue and collaboration on global innovation and research partnerships.
The delegation included Prof. Raghunathan (Raghu) Rengaswamy, Dean of Global Engagement, and Mr. Madhav Narayan, Chief Executive Officer of IIT Madras Global Research Foundation (IITM Global). The visit was part of a broader engagement with Rutgers leadership, faculty, and research centers.
As part of their itinerary, the delegation toured the New Jersey Advanced Manufacturing Institute (NJAMI). Rahul Sharma, Wenyi Liu, and Yifei Guo (PhD students), representing Prof. Yuebin Guo (Henry Rutgers Distinguished Professor and Director of NJAMI), along with Prof. Hao Lin (Director of International Programs), introduced the visitors to the NJAMI’s research efforts in AI manufacturing, digital twins, and next-generation materials innovation.
The NJAMI visit provided an opportunity to showcase Rutgers’ strengths at the intersection of advanced manufacturing and AI, and to explore synergies with IIT Madras in areas such as global research collaborations, technology transfer, and student exchange programs.
This visit marks an important step in strengthening ties between Rutgers and IIT Madras, setting the stage for joint research initiatives and innovation-driven partnerships.
