TCNJ Mechanical Engineering Professors visit NJAMI

Three mechanical engineering professors led by ME Chair Dr. Karen C. Yan from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) visited NJAMI on April 4. The tour introduced the manufacturing research and educational capabilities including metrology and materials testing facilities. This visit kicks off the Rutgers-TCNJ collaborations, particularly in digital workforce development. Collaborations between New Jersey colleges and universities is important for improving STEM education, especially with the rapidly evolving demands for digital manufacturing workforce. Last February, Rutgers University Office for Research announced its participation in a technology transfer partnership with the New Jersey Association of State Colleges and Universities (NJASCU), which includes TCNJ. The aim of the partnership is to expand and enhance New Jersey’s research and innovation ecosystem, and NJAMI is essential for the initiative.
